One highlight was a Hummer ride that my mom arranged for him.
We played an "injured soldier" game.
On his actual birthday, he had more presents, his favorite dinner (mac) and his choice of an ice cream dessert at Coldstone. He also had a follow up doctor appointment that morning, and while we were there the Dr. mentioned that they had just gotten 3000 doses of the H1N1 booster vaccine. In an effort to get the most out of our visit, I opted to have both boys get the shot while we were there. It probably wasn't the nicest mommy move, but Wells forgave me.He took a birthday treat to school on Wednesday, and he stayed for Lunch Bunch, which is a special treat for him.
The festivities concluded on Saturday when he had his Bounce U party with friends, and special guests Nini and Opa from Virginia!
Maddox had SOOO much fun and says, "My bir-day Bounce U party too, mom!" Cousin Julia was his personal assistant (or mine, rather)! She helped him climb ALL the inflatables, and helped him eat his pizza and cake.
